About the role
The Loan Coordinator position is a critical part of our team, ensuring smooth mortgage processing, assisting clients throughout their home financing journey, and supporting our Loan Consultants. This role involves direct interaction with clients and coordination with various professionals, including loan officers, lenders, real estate agents, title companies, insurance agents, and underwriters.
To be successful in this position you’ll need exceptional organization, problem solving skills, and the ability to navigate multiple software systems. This position works in a fast-paced environment, and at times has critical deadlines.
Location: In person position working out of our HQ 1222 N Pennsylvania St. Indianapolis, IN 46202.
Key Responsibilities
- Loan Processing & Support: Assist Loan Consultants with tasks required to process and complete mortgage applications.
- Client Communication: Work directly with clients to collect missing information, ensuring smooth and timely loan processing.
- File Documentation & Review: Collect and verify necessary documentation (e.g., pay stubs, W2s, VOEs, title work, tax bills, letters of explanation, etc.), reviewing for accuracy
- Problem-Solving & Critical Thinking: Anticipate potential issues and proactively address them by reviewing underwriting conditions, advocating for clients, and resolving processing challenges.
- Pipeline & Status Updates: Maintain clear communication with the team regarding loan status updates and processing timelines.

Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of relevant experience
- Ability to learn and work within multiple software systems
- Strong organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail
- Ability to think critically, problem-solve independently, and work without constant supervision
- 2+ years of customer service experience in a professional setting
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred but not required)
- NMLS license (preferred but not required)

- Build and maintain relationships with referral partners, real estate agents, and key clients
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies

Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of recent mortgage industry experience with documented production history
- Valid NMLS license in good standing
- Comprehensive understanding of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, VA, FHA, and USDA loan programs
- Strong ability to handle customers, staff, and referral clients with tact and professionalism
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving branch profitability, developing talent, and representing our company in the local market.
Required Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in mortgage lending with demonstrated success
- Valid NMLS license
- Proven track record of consistently hitting and exceeding sales targets
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience managing sales teams
- Experience in sales recruitment and team building
- Deep understanding of loan products including Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA, USDA, and Non-QM programs
- Demonstrated ability to lead, direct, and motivate successful sales teams
- Strong business acumen and financial management skills
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
- Proven relationship-building skills with referral partners and clients

- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and company regulations
- Manage branch operations including workflow, processes, and resource allocation
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching to drive individual and team success
- Oversee customer escalations and complex lending scenarios
